Their origins are centred in Peru. Fact of a hollowed wood box, is used from noble plywood to wood and the decoration is generally sober. It is called box . It has a fundamental paper in Afro-Peruvian music. They come in sizes that vary with the open bottoms. Instrument is played generally with the hands and the cajonero that upwards feel like in the drawer, executing movements in the sides and oscillating the drawer and downwards according to the type of sound that it wants to obtain. The drawer is the one who takes the rhythmical base in a musical set and is usual in the black music, that the subject is interrupted to give space to the cajonero so that it does a “single one of drawer”.

Bombo

It is a cylindrical drum that is used in the Andean region and it is popular in the styles found in Argentina, Chile, Bolivia and Peru. The drum plays with a small stick and a mallet that press the wood edges and the head. The part of outside of the body of the drum is made of a hollow tree, with skins in the superior part of the drum, which produces very distinguishing a smooth and deep tone.

Charango

Charango is a musical instrument of cords, of total use in the Andean regions of South America, specially in the zones of cultural influence of the towns aimaraes and quechuas. The countries in which it has greater popularity are: Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina and Ecuador. In the later face of the box of resonance of charango is the harmonic box that it presents a arched body. This box was elaborated during long time with the shell of the armadillo, known also like quirquincho, mulita, tatù. That practice has been replaced by the wrought or laminated wood use, those that allow beautiful carvings.
